Is there an age limit for entry?
religion is based on assumptions. There is mo scientific evidence for it whatsoever.
Thanks for asking the question about age limit for entering.
The Sisters of Bon Secours have an age limit of 50. Many communities have age limits, and the reasons are varied. Some only accept younger women, where as others may accept women even over the age of 50. Some of the rationale for accepting only younger women are related to potential difficulties that an older woman may have in being flexible and adaptable.
Here’s a website that lists links to communities accepting older women: http://consecrated-life-org.maritzia.com/orders-in-the-us/communities-accepting-women-over-45/
All communities have criteria for entrance which include minimally having sufficient physical and psychological health to meet the demands of an active apostolate and community life, freedom from canonical impediments, e.g., unresolved divorce, dependents, a Catholic, etc.
I hope this helps. For more information, email: cbsvocations@bshsi.org
