Following the Footsteps of Jesus

Sue Donovan Carrying the Cross

Sue Donovan (in the glasses and white hat), communication specialist, and long-time friend of Bon Secours spent 10 days in the Holy Land following in the foot steps of Jesus.  We’re happy for Sue that she had this wonderful opportunity.  Here is Sue’s description of the photo:

Here is a picture of me carrying the cross as we prayed the stations along the Via Dolorosa.   Each pilgrim was given a chance to participate.  We all walked throughout the market place carrying the cross to each Station of the Cross spaced throughout the Via Dolorosa, passing the stalls of the many merchants who market their wares within the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem.

Words can not express the gratitude I feel for being able to be present to this experience and to have visited all the places where Jesus traveled throughout the Holy Land

I prayed for all your special intentions while I was there.

God Bless, Sue

Wow, How beautiful is this? Actually getting to experience carrying the Cross !

I am just a newly registered Catholic who has been away from the Church for so long I forget all the prayers and Holy Days !Holy Communion has been a desire for so long.

I thought I had a vocation as a child, wanted to have children, did that, now divorced (married twice, first one passed, 2nd one married outside the Church) and I am finding myself questioning how I could have thought that a man could truly bring me happiness? It comes from within and I cannot seem to find that in men, money, gifts or anything but God. Please pray that I find my answer and motivate myself to go to Church every week. I made myself a wooden set of rosaries yesterday and prayed the rosary (needed a book from my Church) on each bead as I worked. Help me find my way back? tell me how do I renew my faith?

They say the opposite of war is not love…it is PEACE.  And I have to say that this video, actually it is a trailer for an independent film, certainly brings light to how strongly we should be waging a campaign for Peace.  What do you think? Here is an excerpt from the Global Zero website: [...]
