Path of Transformation

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

In life, we are all walking at different speeds, but we are on the same journey to God, like a walk through a labyrinth.

Where does your path begin?  Perhaps with a delicate voice in your ear urging you forward.  A voice that cannot be heard by those around you.  You, yourself may even deny hearing the words, but the denial proves futile, as the words linger just under the surface.

Maybe your path begins with the mounting fears of life, as you seek the solace of something greater to relieve your worries.

Maybe someone in your life has danced along their path and emits the radiant light of God’s love – encouraging you to follow suit.

Are you 23?  33?  43?  Maybe younger…maybe older.  It is never too early or too late in life to begin your journey.

Do not submit to your fear…embrace it.  Quell your reluctance with the promised grace of our Lord.  Replace your confusion and uncertainty with the faith that God holds your journey in His hands.  Just take the first step!

Once inside your labyrinth, realize that the twists and turns are in place to guide and also strengthen you.  From above, the lines curve and sway in a beautiful pattern…a pattern that only God can fully appreciate.

However, from within, those same curves can leave you questioning your path.  Sometimes it appears as though you are heading back to where you began, or worse, you feel as though you are getting close, but then are suddenly led some distance away from your goal.  Sometimes it seems you’re walking in circles, passing the same point over and over.  But, I urge you to press forward in your walk…if you need to slow your pace, do so confidently.

For once you reach the end of your journey, the center of the labyrinth, the transformation of your heart and soul will be apparent.  Each of the turns you faced will have slowly changed your path.  The doubts you may have had in the past will have vanished, and God’s light will shine radiantly from you onto others.

Enjoy your journey!

They say the opposite of war is not love…it is PEACE.  And I have to say that this video, actually it is a trailer for an independent film, certainly brings light to how strongly we should be waging a campaign for Peace.  What do you think? Here is an excerpt from the Global Zero website: [...]
