Retreat Center
The Retreat and Conference Center at Bon Secours (RCC) is part of the Sisters of Bon Secours Provincial House located on the 300 plus acres of peaceful wooded countryside of Marriottsville, Maryland in Howard County.
In addition to the spiritual center, the Provincial House also is home to the President’s Office of the Sisters of Bon Secours, Marian Hall (a residence for older and retired sisters), as well as the Vocation Office, Formation Office, Novitiate, Associate Members Office, Lay Volunteer Office, and archives of the congregation.
An oasis where learning and reflection coincide
On any given day at RCC, you may find people from all walks of life exploring their place in God’s creation. A young mother silently and prayerfully exploring the outdoor labyrinth. A priest meditating on a bench in the Peace Garden. An older man from the local community in a yoga class.
A woman considering joining the Congregation of the Bon Secours Sisters talking with her spiritual director as they search for the Holy Spirit’s call in her life. Members of a nearby parish attending a retreat organized and guided by their own leadership. A frustrated adult son of a cancer patient expressing his struggles in a prayer gathering for persons living with serious illness and chronic pain. All these scenes and many more play out at the center quite often.
RCC effortlessly combines retreats, workshops and events with sacred spaces for reflection, prayer and meditation. Guests can participate in a group retreat or arrange for private direction with a spiritual director.
Visitors and guests often take what they experience at the center to the landscaped grounds or surrounding wooded areas and spend time in prayer and reflection. This combination of prayer, personal reflection, and sharing creates a peaceful oasis where people experience God more intimately.

Because the focus of RCC is the integration of mind, body, and spirit, many retreats and workshops focus on issues of wellness, spiritual mentoring, and yoga as well as spiritual wholeness, prayer, and retreats and workshops on a variety of topics.
The center offers retreats and workshops throughout the week— some lasting one afternoon, others lasting up to ten days. In addition to events offered by RCC, groups can lead their own retreats and workshops using the center’s facilities.
