“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve in leadership where I can be creative, enjoy the contact with many sisters and use my long experience in health care to be objective yet sensitive in decision-making. It’s allowed me to learn ways of working with very different people as a team. That’s a challenge, but even on days when we don’t work together perfectly I’m reminded we are a very human organization yet still can accomplish a lot.”
She currently serves as a member of the Mercy Housing Board of Directors and is the chair of its Sponsors Council.
Sister Rose Marie has held a variety of positions within her community including Director of Formation and Director of Associate Community. Her current roll involves leading the sisters and their ministries in the United States as well as assisting the Congregation Leader in guiding the Sisters of Bon Secours worldwide. She has written on a variety of topics for several religious publications.
When not on the road, Sr. Rose Marie lives in a house in Fair Lawn, NJ with Sr. Fran Gorsuch, where she enjoys gardening, baking, reading, music and movies.
